Overview:
An exciting new hospitality concept in Southern Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Director to oversee operations and help shape the future of a growing brand. This leadership role will initially focus on managing the F&B operations at a flagship location in Brighton Beach, with an exciting transition into a new boutique hotel in Sheepshead Bay slated to open in mid-2025. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in the launch of a brand-new hospitality destination, with multiple venues including restaurants, bars, an event hall, and even a party boat.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will bring at least 5-7 years of experience in high-end food and beverage management, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting. A passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of Southern Brooklyn's unique community, and a dynamic personality are essential to thrive in this role. You will be responsible for developing and executing the F&B strategy, overseeing daily operations, managing a talented team, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
As the Acting General Manager, you will take on broader responsibilities during the transition to the Sheepshead Bay location, ensuring smooth operational integration and maintaining the brand’s standards across both properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- F&B Strategy & Operations: Lead the development and execution of the food and beverage strategy, ensuring innovation while maintaining the brand's identity. Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple venues, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and a superior guest experience.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability while upholding the quality of food and service.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with chefs and beverage managers to create seasonal menus and unique dining experiences.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a positive, engaging work culture.
- Community Engagement: Leverage your ties to the local community to drive guest loyalty, build partnerships, and create events that reflect the spirit of Southern Brooklyn.
- Expansion Leadership: Play a key role in the opening of the Sheepshead Bay boutique hotel, including overseeing F&B operations, vendor selection, staffing, and ensuring the smooth integration of our offerings.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 5-7 years in F&B leadership roles, with experience in upscale hotels or restaurants.
- Community Connection: Deep knowledge of and personal ties to Southern Brooklyn, especially the Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay areas.
- Leadership & Personality: Charismatic, confident, and energetic with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Creative & Strategic: Innovative, with a strong understanding of food trends and the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking Ability: Ability to handle multiple projects and make quick, effective decisions.
